Blood Drug Testing

Please help with my chemistry type work?

I'm having a test on this Mrs. Roberts, in a diabetic coma, has just admitted to Noble Hospital. Her blood pH indicates that she is in severe acidosis, and measures are quickly instituted to bring her blood pH back within normal limits. (a) Define pH ad note the normal pH of blood. (b) Why is severe acidosis problematic? thanks

1. you can get the ph from drain-o put this drain cleaner in some IV fluid to get the proper ph
2. blood is mostly water and the ph is roughly the pH of water at 7 acidosis is when its below 7 its bad bc it shuts down normal body functions enzymes do not work properlly and the pump in your cell begin to fail
