What happens if you take a urine test while on your period?

I took a urine test at Quest a few weeks ago and just got the results. I took the test while I was on my period and the results showed that there were traces of protein and ketones. I am not pregnant or anorexic. Were the results messed up because I was on my period?

1. No. You're period comes out a different hole. It's impossible it affected it, unless your urine was mixed with blood.
2. nothing really your pee might be a little stained but nothing where they will say something i've taken plenty of urine tests because of medication i was on and quite a few i was on my period so yea.
3. You should have told the lab you were bleeding as well so they would be aware if they found any blood biproducts in the urine. It's probably not a big deal.
