Blood Drug Testing

I went to the doctors today and i got blood withdrawn from me do they drug test along wth the test for disease?

they drew blood for there usual purposes to check for any disease. do they also check for drugs in your blood stream becuase i heard drug blood testing was actually rather expensive.

1. if it was just a health check up, i highly doubt it. drug tests are expensive.
2. they dont run a drug test in Canada. dunno bout USA and its actually very cheap to check for drugs
3. They do not test for drugs unless you asked them to or there was a high suspicion that you were under the influence at the time of the clinic visit. Usual blood draws do not include drug testing.
4. normally they dont if your went in sick at the doctor they normally just test for sickness other then that i dont think they can test for drugs unknowingly
