Does an at home drug test that tests for Cocaine, also test for Crack, since it a derivitive of Cocaine?
Someone told me that my boyfriend has been doing crack. He has been acting odd, but he said it's from his nerve pill prescription (having taken too many). He knows that I dont know much about drugs. So I wanted to get an at home drug test kit & pop it on him & ask him to take it. This would determine the fate of our relationship. But I only found one for Cocaine. So will it work for Crack?

- Crack is a form of cocaine and should give a positive reading if he has been using it. Do you really want to continue a relationship with someone you do not trust to a point where you feel you need to test them?
- yep, crack is cocaine so it should work for both.
- 1. If your boyfriend is doing crack, he may be in an altered state of mind. It may be dangerous to approach him with a drug test and tell him its over if he fails. Play it more along the lines that you are concerned about his health. 2. If you don't trust him and have to give him a drug test, you might want to not waste the money on the drug test. That could be the real answer you are looking for. If you are looking for an excuse, just leave. Like i said before, he could be a danger to your safety if he is on drugs.
- my friends dad stabbed him to death over crack sooooo id say dont even approach him try to sneak around things and figure out that way if you really care for him.
- Yes cocaine and crack are will show up the same on a drug test mind you cocaine and its derivatives leave the system so fast it isn't even worth testing for. Also home drug tests (as with many others) are notorious for rendering false positives in fact the only accurate drug test is one ran through a GCMS machine. If he is doing drugs don't bother busting out the drug test thing just try and talk to him. Plus when it comes down to it, it's his body. If he wants to do cocaine and/or crack (or what the fück ever) on occasion it really isn't a big deal, now if he was an addict that would be a wholly different story... but in that case you wouldn't even need to use a drug test as it'd be painfully obvious.
- If you popped a home drug test on me, the relationship would be over and you would have wasted a good amount of money... those tests arent cheep.. But yes, they test for the following... Coke/Crack Amphetamines/Meth THC Opiates (heroine, prescription pain killers Coke and Crack are the same thing... Well as far as a drug test can tell...
