Why does glass taste like blood?

The other day my friends dared me to eat an old test tube I had from one of my Chemistry sets (don't worry, it wasn't used!). I actually swallowed the whole things but I've been tasting blood now for the past week. Is this a bad thing or does glass always taste like this?

1. its not the glass, its you, you must be bleading internally thats why your tasting it, im sure this is fake, i hope it is!
2. ummm... you better be joking or your one silly goose i suggest go to a doctor NOW the glass fragments broke in your mouth and our now cutting open the organs in your body and this is very painfull and a surgery procedure is needed if you swallowed or ate glass that big basically its not the glass its your blood your tasting hope your joking...
3. Sorry but your friend lied to you, the only possible explanation is that there had been blood in the test tube previously.
