How accurate are blood tests when it comes to pregnancy?
my girlfriend just had urine tests and blood tests done, which came up negative. They are now doing a female exam on her, is there a chance she could be pregnant?

- WAYYY more accurate than the pee tests!
- very. blood tests are deff.
- it's better than pissing on a stick
- Very accurate.
- She's not pregnant. If both urine and blood were negative, she's not. Blood tests are extremely accurate.
- i would guess well over 99%
- VERY! They test for hcg the pregnancy hormone, there are certain levels for each day u are pregnant so it is very accurate, pretty much fool proof!
- some ovarian cysts can give the impression of the pregnancy hormone in the blood tests. But the blood pregnancy tests are usually very accurate
- they're very accurate ! so no , shes not pregnant .
- very VERY accurate, they're much more accurate then the pee test thingys(lol)
- it is about 95% accurate...the PT test that you can buy anywhere is about 90% accurate.
- They are very accurate but not 100%. The blood test can be wrong depending on the dates. The main cause for a negative test when you are in fact pregnant is a miscalculation in dates. Some women have slightly lower hcg numbers which is what the blood test checks for so if she is off by a few days she could be pregnant. But that is very rare.
- The blood test is very accurate. If shes pregnant it should have come up in the blood test.
- very accurate. they did mine 3 days after i mised my period and she called me "CONGRATS!!!!"
