Will a saliva swab drug test detect drugs if someone is shooting up?
Im doing a report in school and couldnt find my question anywhere on the net but does the saliva drug test detect a drug in a persons system if they are injecting it into their veins? Or if it just detecs drugs that they are smoking? If anyone knows please do tell thanks.

- saliva tests will typically only detect drugs used orally. so things that are smoked or ingested will be detected but things that were injected will not appear on those tests
- The method of consumption has nothing to do with whether or not it can be found by a test. What matters is if they decide to test for it or not, so they usually leave the less common drugs out. Such as DMT, kratom, salvia divinorum, LSD, etc... Also some kinds of tests are more accurate for looking for certain drugs. Saliva tests are best suited for (regardless of method of consumption): Marijuana - 1 to 24 hours after consumption Cocaine - 0 to 72 hours after consumption Opiates - 0 to 72 hours after consumption Methamphetamine - 0 to 96 hours after consumption MDMA (Ecstasy) - 0 to 96 hours after consumption Benzodiazepines - 0 to 72 hours after consumption Amphetamines - unknown Phencyclidine - unknown Heroin, morphine, codeine, oxycodone, hydrocodone, etc.. are all opiates. This means they and other opiates are detectable with saliva tests. Whether or not they are used orally, are Insufflated (sniffed) or injected.
