Blood Drug Testing

I have a medical question regarding my 18 year old daughter...?

My daughter is 18 and is almost two months late on her period..A month ago she took two pregnancy tests including a blood test and they were both neg...Tonight she is in extreme pain in her back..Could this be related and should I go make her go to the doctor? Thanks for your serious answers.. Believe me she knows about the birth control now..She went thru all the std tests and aids test and swears she will not be doing that ever again..LOL I'm sure she will but she will be protected I hope

  1. may be late period, wait for some more time, test showed negative good, nothing to panic,
  2. Don't want to scare you but it could be a miscarriage. You should take her to the doctors to have an exam and get to the bottom of her pain.
  3. This could be bad, have her see the doctor.
  4. Hi there. I would strongly recommend going to a Dr. She could be having a tubal pregnancy, to which I don't beleive they show up right away. Im not an expert.. But I think it is your best bet to have her completely checked out... It's for her own good!! And then I think maybe Birth Control Pills:) *On a lighter note* Best wishes and I hope it's just cramps from a backed up period:)
  5. First of all take her to doctor. Only doctors can analyse this issue and for godsake dont doubt your daughter.
  6. Yes she should see a doctor. The back pain may be a kidney infection at work. It may be a pre-menstral sign and she mised her period because of stress so she has lining to shed and a heavy period. She could have a thyroid condition. It really is something that a dr. needs to examine and diagnose. Good luck and best wishes.
  7. i would certainly say take her to the doctor. it's always better to be safe than sorry. you wouldn't want her to jeopordize her health, as it may not only affect her now, but also in the future.
  8. You're daughter's Gynecologist should have examined her when they did the blood test. I would definately take her to the doctor if it is not normal for her to miss a period. Even though she may not be having specific problems related to her menses she may be having other more severe problems that are causing her to miss her period. FYI the top two causes of cessation of menstruation in women are thyroid issues and stress. Have her thyroid checked, and if that seems ok, just help her destress! I went 7 months without getting my period, and for issues that were unrelated, decided to quit consuming caffine and sachrine and other sugar substitutes. Within a week of cutting out the caffine and fake sugar, i started my period again. Scientists are starting to find a def. link! Good luck!!
  9. Take her to a hospital and have them take the test again, sometimes in the first month they still can detect a pregnancy even with a blood test. They can do a ultrasound as well and a pelvic untrasound aswell. Hopefully it is just a delay, and nothing serious. Good Luck
