Every month, I think I am going to get my period, and I don't. Why?
I was on birth control for almost a year until this past November. Every now and again my period would be a little late, but since end of December/January (And that was even a light period, which was wierd), I haven't gotten it. I get cramps, and minimal symptoms of PMS. I am underweight but have recently been put on a healthy diet to put some weight on me. I thought maybe being off the birth control screwed my cycle up. Then also, my sister just moved out of the house, and she used to get her period around the same time as me; it's weird because this started after January when she moved out. My friends tell me stress, but what else is there? Do I just need to wait for the weight to be put on? I am a little bit scared. I know I am not pregnant, I have taken over 4 pregnancy tests, including a blood test, over this span of time. I just want to get an idea before I venture off to the doctors. Thank you!

- well my friend was on brith control pills before and she would get like 2 months of having a period and for the other 10 months she wouldnt. Hers is like screwed up her cycle. Dont worry it will come back to normal it happends to lots of woman. your cycle will return soon. it did for my friend it took prob 2 or 3 months im not sure
- Birth control screws cycles up, no doubt about it. Talk to your doctor hunnie. Hope you're okay.
- There may be many reasons why you are not getting your period. most of them are not serious. for starters you said you are under weight which could lead to this also add the stress of your sister moving out and it puts the chances even higher. Also the sudden stopping of the birth control may have messed your hormones up. I would give it a couple more months before I started to worry if I were you. I imagine after you gain a little weight and get less stress you will be back to having them. But even then you may not be regular. you could still get the symptoms from ovulation without the period.
