How long does it normally take for hcg blood test results?

I had a blood test at 5 weeks to confirm pregnancy, They called with results within 3 hours. The results came back 37, which was low I went in again, now 6 weeks and haven't heard any results? It's been 7 hours, which now they are closed, I already left a message. It's driving me crazy! I just want to know if everything is ok. What are your thoughts? I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant with first child, have had problems getting pregnant, I did not use fertility treatments, was diagnosed with pcos I got the results, 537

3. It takes a day to come back usually. Here in Australia if you get your blood test by 10am in some doctors then you can have your results in the afternoon. But generally you have to wait a day for the results.
4. There are alot of factors to consider. Where you got your blood drawn, is the lab that processes it in the same building? Are they particularly busy that day? Are they backed up in their work? Is the bloodwork sent out? If so, is it sent out locally? Is it sent out somewhere else? Also, did your doctor or the lab tech mark your blood work as "stat" or is there no rush put on it? It all depends on the factors I've listed above. I personally went in at 10 am, and by 12 noon on the dot, I got a phone call telling me I was indeed pregnant. But, the place I had it drawn at and that tested it was the same building, were not busy at all and had minimal work before mine.
5. im also 6 wks pregnant. i went in a week ago (when i was 5 wks pregnant) for my first ob appointment. i went in at 2:30 pm and by 4:00 pm i got a phone call from my dr saying my levels were 3,012. it worries me your levels are so low but as long as they keep going up thats all that matters. it all depends on how busy the lab and the dr are. im sure you'll hear something first thing in the morning. keep us updated. and im saying a prayer for you and your lil one. god bless
