Blood Drug Testing

Is there a possibility of being pregnant and having negative pregnancy tests (blood and home)?

Is there any possibility that a woman be pregnant and after one month of the conception she still have negative pregnancy tests?

  1. It's very rare, but it can happen. I know a lady who had a negative blood test and still thought she was pregnant, so requested another one and that other one came back positive.
  2. Yes it is possible. Home is more likely to be wrong and you should take a few at home to make sure it's right. Yes it is possible that blood can be wrong but it's very rare that it is.
  3. If you have any doubts it's better to get tested again than to be sorry later. Home test can show false negative especially if you are very early in pregnancy (because your hormone (HCG) levels are not as high and test cannot depict it). Also, be sure to follow the instructions exactly as it says on the box. Take a home test about 4 wks after possible conception or after your missed period. Blood test is defenitely more accurate and almost 100% sure. That being said (almost) means that even though highly unlikely there is still a possibility of error, even human error. Get tested again just in case. Good luck!
