Elevated Inflammation in blood test results?
My boyfriend had blood tests taken. He's been battling a large blood clot in his leg for a few weeks and is being treated. He also had upper respiratory infection that was treated. He is also diabetic. Today's blood results came back with elevated inflammation. He said the marker was at 30 and it should be closer to 1 on the scale. He was very closed mouthed about it; but I'm in a panic. What could he be looking at here? He turns 56 in a couple of days.

- Angela, Any time the white blood cells are elevated that means there is an infection some where, it's probably the respiratory infection making the white blood cells to be elevated. When you say he's been closed mouthed about it , do you think he has something bigger that he doesn't want you to know?? In that situation if he requested the doctor not to discuss with anyone then the doctor can't tell you, but it would be worth asking the doctor. Good Luck I will keep you and your dad in my prayers.
