Can I drink water before my blood chemistry test?

1. Yes drinking water is the best thing 2 do when u getting any typw of test done and is better 2 draw the blood. Don't drink any other liquids because it can alter the test!
2. Most blood draw panels require fasting and drinking only water. Caffeine containing drinks like coffee or tea raise blood pressure so are not recommended. Yes, you can have the water. I talked to the phlebotomists and they don't object to me drinking my coffee as I usually only have the HbA1c blood draw and that isn't effected aor affected by hot drink, cold drink, caffeine drink or any food either.
