I have a few questions about pregnancy blood tests & insurance?
1. If you are under the age of 21/18, can you get a pregnancy blood test at a clinic without your parents finding out if you have Molina as your insurance? I have an older friend taking me. 2. How long does it take to get the results back? 3. Where do they draw your blood?

- Per the answer to the other question: 1. No, your parents will find out via an Explanation of Benefits. It is a requirement of law that this is provided for any insurance treatment. 2. You will know that day. 3. In the lab.
- ~~They will send you to a lab to have the blood work drawn. No your parents can not be given any medical information at all without your written consent on your medical care, once you are over 18. Molina does not use EOB (explanation of Benefits) and it depends on the lab on how fast you get your results.~~
- You can bypass your insurance by ordering the blood test online. Do not use your parents credit card obviously. You will need a prepaid card, or borrow a friends. The results of the blood test come back through your email so as long as your parents don't have access to your email you are good to go there as well. Here is a link to a blood test that you can get for pregnancy: http://summitcountymedicalsociety.prepaidlab.com/index.php?/Human-Chorionic-Gonadotropin-hCG-Beta-Subunit-Qualitative-S.html?keyword=hcg You can get tested for $14.83. You can go to any Labcorp facility to get the blood drawn after the order. Just print out the paperwork you get on the screen at the end of the order process and take it with you. There is no appointment needed. Go here to find the nearest testing facility to you http://summitcountymedicalsociety.prepaidlab.com/index.php?/Locate-a-Lab.html The results take 24-28 hours to get back.
- 1. If you file a claim on insurance, it's reasonable to expect that an explanation of benefits form will be sent to the policy subscriber. 2. Usually not more than 24 hours 3. From your arm. In a lab.
