Blood Drug Testing

Accurate Pregnancy Tests?

Hi, i had sex with a girl on the 30th of july, unprotected and i did not ejaculate from what i can remember, and am definitly not trying to get her pregnant. The next day i went out and bought her the Plan B pills and she took them almost exactly 24 hours after the deed was done. People have told me that Plan B is a pretty good anti-pregnancy pill but i am still worried about that tiny percentage. She says her period isnt due until around the 12th-17th, if she were to take a pregnancy test like First Response how accurate would it be? Also how accurate are blood pregnancy tests or are the urine pregnancy tests at Planned Parenthood more accurate than the ones you buy at the pharmacy? Help is appreciated, thank you.

  1. It is best to wait until her missed period to take a test. Otherwise, if her periods are irregular, she can take a test approx 3 weeks after sex and get an accurate result. Urine tests are about the same regardless where you get them, whether its Planned Parenthood or the drugstore. I highly recommend a test like First Response, or New Choice that can be purchased at Dollar Tree. Blood tests are going to be the most accurate, but she may have to go to a doctor in order to get one. Next time, use a condom along with some other form of birth control. Plan B is not meant to be regular birth control. Good luck!
