Blood Drug Testing

Are flight attendants screened for stds when they are screened for their job?

I know they have a medical exam...does this include blood tests for stds?

1. Because they are in close contact with passengers--and because the risk of an accident/crash where blood may be exchanged--plus the fact that they are working with food and drinks--I would assume there will be a test that includes TB/HIV/AIDS at a minimum. The test may be included as part of the general blood work taken during the time of testing. Outside of the initial FAA requirements, a lot of what is included in the test is up to the airline.
