  4. yes. Why would you have any reason to believe otherwise? Do you think that you got someone else's results? Or that the numbers on yours are wrong? They can run a retest, but I have never heard of a test result coming up differently on a retest.
  5. Mostly yes they are accurate, however, just occasionally they can be wrong. The blood specimen needs to be clotted blood, a clotting agent is already in the bottle that is used to extract the blood, as soon as the bottle is removed from your arm, the phlebotomist should shake the bottle, ensuring the blood is fully mixed with the clotting agent, unfortunately this doesn't always happen the way it should.
