What is the drug test like for working for the state of texas?

I am a rare pot smoker but I'm just curious. I'm in my last year at university, and I will be graduating this spring with my bachelors in social work. For instance, when applying on their website, the job openings have an opening and closing date. Does anyone know when the drug test would be given in reference to the closing date?

1. The test depends on the company. Some only test back 24 hours, some 1 week, and some deliver a hair follicle test which goes back months (very few jobs do this last one). The test will come after the job offer, but the offer will be contingent on passing the test. As a light smoker you probably don't have much residual THC in your system. To be safe I'd give it a month.
2. the drug test will be done when they process your application, that is, if you are considered for the position.
