How long does a failed drug test stay with a job agency?

I recently just took a pre-employment drug screening with kelly services. Everything went fine. What I'm worrying about is that a couple years back, I applied for a different job through Kelly Services. I took the drug screening for that job and failed. So my question is will that prior drug test fail affect me now even if my background check and recent drug screening come back good?

1. If you are clean now, it shouldn't affect you too badly. It is possible that they will not allow you to work because most applications ask if you have applied before. Background check will go back as much as 10 years...so be prepared for it.
