Blood Drug Testing

My Doctor just ran some lab tests and found a small amount of blood in my urine. What might this mean?

It was a few cells, what's the common reason for this in a male? This has been going on for a long time now, and was checked by a scope looking inside me, but nothing was found. Now the lad test found more.

  1. kidney infection
  2. Why didn't you ask the doctor?
  3. If it's just a small amount of blood it's most likely a urinary tract infection. Maybe a bladder infection. But not infection of the kidney, because then symptoms would be far worse and you would be in excruciating pain. Don't worry urinary tract infections are common, and this is probably your problem.
  4. Blood can show up in the urine for a whole lot of reasons. Most commonly if it is very small amount it could have been from heavy physical activity before your UA. Follow up investigation may be required depending upon your history and symptoms. .
  5. It might have been caused temporarily due to some blood filtered out of kidneys as it happens after operations. It may have been caused by nephritis if it is prolonged or urine stones damaging th urine path. Check with the doctor and do carry out some prescribed test. If nothing is found, great ! and forget it.
