Blood Drug Testing

do doctors say if they found THC content in your blood if they were doing blood tests for cancer test?

im going to the doctors to get a lump checked out, and my mom said they might do blood tests and other things. for the blood tests, if doctors found drug chemicals in the blood, will they tell my parents even though it may be irrellevant?

  1. First of all there is no THC in your blood. The THC breaks down inside of your body into specific metabaloids. A marijuana drug test looks for these metabaloids that THC breaks down into; NOT the THC itself. If the THC didn't break down (do note that not all of it does some stays in your brain "forever"), or at least if enough of it didn't, you would stay consistently high (wouldn't that be fun). Second of all the doctors do not look for evidence of drug use unless it is specifically a drug test. So the answer is you will be fine. They are not searching for drugs; hence they will not even notice.
  2. There are hundreds of blood tests and not a single one diagnoses cancer. The only way any drug would be found in your blood test is if the doctor orders the lab to check for it.
