I have had a Colostomy for Anal Cancer. BUT - do Blood Tests show anal cancer markers? I have heard they don't?
In Apr/May/June-2009 I had Chemo & Radiation for Anal Cancer & was told I was a "cure". But, it came back, and Dec/2009 I had a Colostomy & now wear a bag and I do 'Irrigations' every 2nd day. My worry, of course, is that cancer cells will show up elsewhere. B-U-T.... I have heard that Anal cancer doesn't show up in blood tests.

- Cancer cells and tumor markers are two different things. Tumor markers would have been run when you were first diagnosed to get a baseline and used to monitor you during your treatment and follow up.
