Blood Drug Testing

Does marijuana show up in other forms of blood tests?

I smoked weed today and my mom told me that she was going to schedule a thyroid blood test for me sometime VERY soon. She knew i smoked weed in the past but thought i quit. Will my thc level appear on the results of the blood test? and i know that drinking water or whatever wont work for this, because it's not a urine test. haaalp?

  1. I say go smoke sum more then we will talk about it haha jkjk umm THC doesn't show in blood tests only in urine tests becuz the THC is going through your track not the blood stream so ur good
  2. Uh....Kamron is soooooo wrong,...Yes is will show up in your blood work but the focus on the thyroid test is for thyroid work and though the thyroid tests will be for that, any influence of forieghn chemistry will be taken into consideration. POT is the easiest drug to detect along with opiates and then bezodiazapines and then tranquilizers (old school types) and a few other things like LSD....but Pot can be detected in your system as long as 10 months in the past in hair samples and in fat cells as far back as 45 days.........Don't let people tell you different. There are ways to cheat tests though. Niacin can be used along with things like "super cranberry extract"....Niacin is kinda dangerous if you use it any stronger than it's suggested on the packaging. I'd suggest that you stop smoking weed before this test and use the niacin and super cranberry extract about 3 days ahead if at all possible. Of course Niacin can also be detected,....so you also have that to contend with.....but Niacin isn't illegal. Nathan
  3. Most times a doctor will make a special tox-screen to test for specific drugs..such as 'weed'..marijuana.Along with the other drugs they test for..opiates,benzo's and many other drugs. Not to worry....as long as your doctor doesn't put a specific order for marijuana, you'll be ok.I have labs done all the time for my Lupus(sle) and when I used to use opiates..none of my tests showed my opiate use in the results. That's because my doctor would have had to order a specific test..Called a tox-screen,then would have to order which drug she wanted me tested for...Good luck and you should consider getting off the 'weed'...
  4. Nope! And Listen carefully - the test is for a TSH level. Spread the word that Dr.'s do not test for drugs when running routine tests. Drugs tests are specifically requested, not standard procedure, release forms signed, emergency situations, - very limited situations. Mama knows! To: "She knew i smoked weed in the past but thought i quit." Don't lye to Mama!!
