Can anxiety REALLY cause dizziness and crazy physical symptoms?
I've been told by my doctor and ER physicians that I have nothing wrong with besides anxiety. I have had several tests including chest xrays, ekgs, blood tests etc to rule out physical possibilities but I'm still not completely convinced. I'm losing my mind with this whole ordeal.

- Yes...it's call a panic attack and there is help available. See a psychiatrist- they can help you.
- Anxiety is an amazing disease. I've seen people completely "paralyzed" for one doctor who could raise their leg when not being tested, who were "blind" who could accurately reach for their drink. It's not that they don't have a problem, because they do. Their mind is actually giving them a problem. For some reason their mind is creating a problem, as way to escape the stress in some other part of their lives. These people are the easiest to treat as a therapist. You just encourage them to get better, and give them all the support in the world. BTW, I'm talking about conversion disorders. Look it up. As for your symptoms; if the doctors aren't finding any thing wrong, you can either take it at face value or you can keep searching until you find the answer you want to hear. Your call. You don't really describe what your symptoms are or what you've been experiencing. ER docs are notoriously impatient with repeat offenders, so if you keep showing up with the same symptoms, yes, they are very likely to dismiss you. If you really want a thorough work-up. go as an out-patient to a physician.
- Yes, your doctors are help. Anxiety or panic attacks can cause lots of physical symptoms. However, they can be treated, but the first goal is find the cause of the anxiety, which could be anything. Look at every aspect of your life. I took up yoga and it helped. I will not give any advice other than that, because advice given here may cause harm to you or your family. Have you doctor refer you to someone that specialize in anxiety disorders and if you don't like them, feel free to seek out someone else.
