If had a blood test for pregnancy five days after I had sex. How accurate would the test be?
Late on my period, nipples have been tender, headaches, tiredness. The last day of my 7 day period was the 10th of aug. I got blood tests done for pregnancy on the fifth day after sex. How accurate are my results? What are my chances of being pregnant? Any opinions are welcomed and appreciated. Thank you.

- it wouldnt be accurate yet
- It takes 3-5 days for sperm and egg to meet and further 3-5 days for implantation. Only after implantation will you be releasing enough hormones to show up so I'd say testing 5 days after sex is way way to early
- The hcg hormone of pregnancy will appear after nine days after conception. Your test will not show after 5 days. For more accuracy 2 weeks after conception or when you miss your period the test will be accurate. Good luck!
- Not at all accurate. There is no test on this planet that can detect pregnancy until a few days after implantation. Even IF you had sex on the very day you ovulated, implantation happens 5-12 days after that. You can also ovulate 5 days after you had sex and still get pregnant. In that case it could be another two weeks from now before any test would be accurate.
