Blood Drug Testing

Been asked to do a CA 125 Blood test, is this ovarian cancer?

I basically went to my doctors in regards to fetility to see if I was fertile. He sent me to the hospital to have tests done, one of which was an Ultrasound scan. My Gynocologist has now advised me that there are cysts on my overies and also one that is different. She now wants me to do a CA 125 blood test. Does she already know its cancer, and is the test for the severity of it. Or is the test to see if I have Cancer ?

2. It's just a common test to see if you have cancer or not. They don't want to take any chances and they want to be sure. It is best that you take it.
3. Neither. It is just a tool. Cancer cannot be diagnosed with a blood test, including ovarian cancer. Cysts on the ovaries are common and not cancer, unless they are complex.
4. She just wants to know and make sure if you have cancer that why she made you do the CA 125 blood test.
