how long do i have to stop smoking marijuana to pass a saliva test?

i just had an interview where my saliva was tested for drugs. i had smoked 8 days prior to my test. i want to know what my chances of passing are. i want to hear from smokers who have taken these tests. did you pass or fail? how long did you quit smoking prior to the test?
