  1. Xanex is a benzo. Benzos take the longest of the legal drugs to get out of your system, up to several weeks. If you have a Rx, you're fine, because they rule out drugs you are prescribed. If not, FAIL.
  2. Xanax is a Benzodiazepine and is not tested for on standard 5 panel drug screens. Most employers do 5 panel drug tests; the few who pay more for additional panels often dont't choose Benzodiazepine as one of their additional drugs they want employees to be tested for. Even if they are testing for Benzodiazepines, unless you were taking them frequently, it will not likely register on any drug test. If you have taken more than a few over a course of days; Detectable in urine: up to 7 days but usually undetectable in less than 3 days Hair drug test: up to 90 days Saliva or blood test: up to 6 to 24 hours If you have been taking xanax every day regularly; possible length of detection times: Urine: up to 6 weeks Hair: up to 90 days http://www.erowid.org/psychoactives/testing/testing_writings1.shtml http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug_test
