Blood Drug Testing

How did my sister pass her drug test?? I'd like a health professional's answer please?

My sister is 15 years old. Today, she came up to me after staying after school and told me she smoked weed with her boyfriend instead of going to detention, like she was supposed to (and my mom thinks she's an angel.. HA!). So, I told my mom about it. Not, to be a b-tch. Just because she's been failing all her classes, sleeping all the time, and cutting class. She already failed 7th grade. Now she's gonna fail 9th grade. So, yea, I told my mom. I don't care. So my mom's boyfriend picked up a drug test, and she showed up Negative. How did that happen?? I know she was high. It was VERY obvious. I used to smoke when I was a teenager. I think we all have at least tried it. It's not hard to figure out when someone is high. Her eyes were red, glossy, and tired, she ate EVERYTHING she could get her hands on. She covered a poptart in peanut butter -_- ..and she REAKED of weed. So, can someone tell me please, how in the world she passed the drug test??? By the way, not the first time someone I know has passed a drug test when they were high. How does that work??
