Did anyone have blood test results for a cat showing elevated creatinine, urea, and calcium levels?
The blood results from my 8 year old cat showed that the creatinine and urea levels were slightly elevated and calcium was moderately elevated...everything else was good. I'm getting her blood test retested in a month but in the meantime I'll be worried. All I could think of is kidney disease. Has anyone else seen these results?

- I totally understand that you are going to worry until you get the results back. I would call your vet and ask if there are any steps that you can start now, like change of diet, or specific things to watch for, like excessive drinking. At least this will make you feel like you are doing more than just sitting around waiting to hear. Did the vet seem worried at the levels? If it does turn out that she has a kidney issue, it can be treated. There is a lot on the web about this issue and lots of information on how to treat a cat with this health problem. One of the things I read is that the old fashioned kidney diets actually lower the protein intake too much and can be bad for kitties. Something to keep in mind when you are talking to your vet, if the results do end up showing that there is a kidney problem, but for right now, just lavish your kitty with all the love s/he is willing to take. :)
