Blood Drug Testing

How easy/hard/expensive/impossible is it to open up your own lab for routine blood tests?

you know like protimes, cholesterol etc etc. Ive never worked in hemetology b4 but is the equitment cost millions or is it mainly the techs training

1. Don't worry about the cost of equipment so much, worry about the cost of keeping up with the regulations regarding the safe handeling, storage, and disposal of human blood.
2. The equipment is both expensive and finicky. And then there are the CLIA regulations, which have made it cost-prohibitive for small hospitals and clinics to do tests that were once routine and simple.
