Blood Drug Testing

Blood tests: anyone knows a lab that will do all blood tests without prescription here in denver colorado??

It is of life or death. Need to have blood tests done for son 15 year. doctors do not think it is necessary but I DO. Every other week my son is sick. Doctors say it is asthma and allergies no need to have blood tests done. whenever I ask what is the underlying cause..they can never answer. So I need to find out myself through blood tests, urine and stool. Without doctors prescription. Please help. thanks

1. Have you talked with someone at National Jewish Hospital? They specialize in respiratory diseases, and they will listen. Please take your son to them as soon as possible.
2. Blood tests, urine, and stool tests are NOT the way you'd discover what such a medical issue would be. Personally, I'd trust the doctors. They're all highly trained and more knowledgeable about illness than you are - I highly doubt they'd send your son packing for no reason. You don't need a "prescription" to have lab services done, either - you just need a good reason. And no lab is going to humor you and test your son for all sorts of diseases, they're going to tell you to SEE A DOCTOR. So, I agree - go in for a third or fourth or twentieth opinion if you REALLY don't trust the doctors that much. But, don't try to do tests yourself, that's truly pointless. National Jewish is great, but Denver Health should suffice. ANY doctor should be able to examine your son and identify that there is at least SOME problem that needs handling.
3. If you have health Insurance, you should insist/demand that you want these test done. You can also change your doctor and have them done but before you do that you can ask this new doctor this same question before you change. It were my son, I would demand that these test be done, at lease it would put your mind at ease knowing that it's being done. I'm not sure what your looking for or should I say what you hope you don’t find in your blood test, But you can go to the Red Cross and donate blood and ask them and see if they can tell you what's in Or not in your blood and maybe you can take your son but not sure what age he would have to be for them to draw blood. You just may find someone asymptotic to your needs. I say it never hurts to ask, for the concern of your son I Do Know That The RED CROSS-Would Do a Complete Check On Your Blood Not sure about who can do the urine and stool check... Good luck,
4. For VD try the health department. It is unlawful for the other labs to do unauthorized tests.
5. get another doctor! they could do all sorts of testing - like RAST for allergies. the laws vary from state to state as to whether or not someone can ask for a test without a doctors' request. call a hospital lab, outpatient center, private medical lab, etc, and check the laws in your state. but my primary advice is to find another doctor!
6. Quest Diagnostics, Inc. is located just off I-25 on Broadway. They offer several different blood tests that can be ordered without a physician's prescription. These panels can be expensive, and most likely your insurance will not pay for them because they did not have a doctor's order.
