- no blood test can detect blue blood just means you have english decent
- The term "blue blood" was used in the feudal period to justify the the privilege of the owning class. While the nobility did not work (it was beneath their dignity), the serfs labored outdoors. As a result, the serfs developed tanned skin and could not see the veins in their arms. However, the nobility, who did nothing, could see these veins and falsely concluded that their blood was blue. It was then used as a justification for their superior position and an important ideology in the maintenance of that form of inequality (i.e., the estate system). It might sound silly, but other systems of inequality use similar justifications dealing with the presumed "biological inferiority" of the workers. In slavery, Blacks were held to be primitively developed. These ideas also persist in capitalism (see, for example, the book The Bell Curve by Herrnstein and Murray).
- Blue blood usually connotes a person of high social standing or royalty and one with wealth.
- blue blood refers to royalty or high status. if you can get DNA from a king or a Kennedy, and it matches yours, You're IN !

- 'Blue blood' is simply a term used to refer to the upper classes, the aristocracy. The term came about because the ruling classes did not work on the land, and kept their skin protected from the sun, therefore the veins on their hands were much more visible than they would have been in the 'common' people. As veins look blue the term blue blood came about. It can't be detected by lab tests as there isn'y really anything to detect, apart from maybe a DNA test showing a genetic link to an aristocratic family.
- Somebody told me that in the medieval times the Lord of the Manor live in the dark castles, so the were pale, the vassals work in the field exposed to the sun ray, the lord of the Manor in order to make them work hard show the vassals his arm and said YOU SEE THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU AND ME, MY Blood IS BLUE AND YOURS RED, the veins look blue on the pale skin, for living in the shadows, YOU CAN SEE THAT BLUE BLOOD IS ONLY A STORY, to make people work hard and respect other because of the color of the blood make the difference, that why blue blood is associated with royalty and high class
