How does one determine their blood type without tests?
Hi everyone, Is it possible for someone to know their blood type without testing? Both my parents had their blood type tested, so my father is: Type 0 and my mother is AB. Is there any way I can find out my blood type without tests? Any answers would be much appreciated, thanks! :D

- Ask your mom
- I believe there are calculators online that will give you a guesstimate, but obviously without your blood they're probably not that reliable.. I would try it anyway ;) (just google what blood type am I)
- No the only way to know your blood type is to have it tested, why are you wanting to know your blood type but avioding getting it tested?
- the only way to know you type is through a blood test or by asking your parents if the know what it is.
- I'm pretty sure you'd need a test.
- nope. there is absolutally no way to tell your blood type without getting a test done
- If your parents were the same blood type, then yes. Unfortunately, your parents are AB and O, meaning their children can be A, B, AB, or O! O is recessive, so it is more likely you are A, B, or even AB.
- No, you can not find out with out a blood test. You could be either type A or type B. That's just genetics. I perform blood typing as part of my job and have been to school for it, the only way to know for sure is to have a blood type performed.
- One can not determine ones blood type without a blood typing test... http://www.craigmedical.com/blood_typing_facts.htm Look partway down the page you will see that there are 2 possible blood types you may have with your parents having AB and O type blood..... There is also RH factor that has to be considered +/- ( the next diagram under the types one)
- not really. you can buy a kit at the drug store that only costs like $20 but unless your blood is tested there is no way to tell what your blood type is.
