Two different types of blood tests??
Ok so i called Planned Parenthood to see if they do blood tests, and they do. The only thing is they said that their blood tests just shows "Positive or Negative" and she said it takes 2 weeks for it to show up past the day of conceiving. But my problem is, is that once my HCG levels start rising, like around a 11, i miscarry if i dont get put on progesterone.. So my question is, how soon can the one that detects how much HCG you have be taken?? I hope this made since.. lol.. sorry...

- I have been told different things but I believe a blood test should show hcg levels anywhere from 6-10 days after conception. You need to ask for a qualitative beta hcg blood test. This will give you a number instead of just a yes or no. They also need to check your progestrone level as well. Good luck!
- It takes the lab litteraly minutes to get the results. Your blood is only good for so many days. They have to test it within a certain time frame. I have always got my results the same day I had my blood drawn. Here is a link on info about HCG quantitive results http://www.ttcdreams.com/hpt.html
- To know the specific level of hCG in your system you want a QUANTITATIVE test (as in QUANTITY). Ask for a serial beta HCG or quantitative beta HCG test. Either blood test can be done as soon as 10DPO... they told you 2 weeks because most women are clueless as to when they ovulate or conceive. If you know FOR SURE what day you ovulated, you could have a blood test done at 10DPO. Certainly any time after that is good. Good luck.
