Blood Drug Testing

Help please can anyone explain or provide a link about blood types, and getting pregnant?

Im a rare type AB- and i had an ectopic pregnancy last year. They gave me some shot, to do with blood types. My bf is o+ i think. Apparently, my blood can 'attack' ? whats it all about> is that why couples get blood tests prior to marrige???? Worried.
