where can i get a blood type test?
i want to have this information just for any medical reason, so how can i or where can i take my son so i can have his blood type information..he's 7 yrs old, and can i ask my o/b if he can send me somewhere to get the blood type of my unborn baby girl? im 7 1/2 months pregnant. thanks!

- Call your family practitioner about blood typing. Talk to your OB/GYN about the blood type of your daughter, but usually they only take fetal samples to test for genetic abnormalities. Easiest and best just to wait.
- Your sons regular doctor can do the blood typing. As for the unborn baby that is dangerous and they won't do it unless it's necessary most of the time. Blood typing will also not help with determining paternity, if that's why you want it done.
- There is really not the least compelling medical reason to know the blood types of your children. Please do not concern yourself with not knowing. If paternity is an issue, there are better and leagal ways to to determine that than blood type.
