- Most likely the doctor will give you a blood test. I've never had to have one to find out if I'm pregnant so I'm not sure how long that would take to find out.
- blood is very accurate and normally so is urine i dont think you are really...sorry
- Uh, yeah. You're Dr. should have done a blood test first. They're more accurate than urine. Especially if you are already 3 1/2 months late. Definately request that you would like a blood test. Results are typically less than 48 hours.
- In your position, I'd be asking for an ultrasound, not a blood test. There could be something going on inside you that a blood test wouldn't detect. Blood tests tend to come back that day if done in their office. They are also more accurate than a urine test.
- With 3 1/2 month late i doubt that the doctor will give you a blood test, by this time if you were pregnant it would had come out in the urine test. If he does give you a blood test the results will be back in 2 days the most and blood test are 100% accurate. On Monday you should expect the doctor to give you a urine test in the office and than prescribe a pill to have your period come (provera). Well i wish you good luck.
- Yes, a blood test will be ordered. I had 3 positive home pregnancy tests, and my doctor still ordered a blood test. The blood test is 100% accurate, it tests the level of pregnancy hormones in your blood (hcg) which are supposed to double every 48 hours, so if you've missed your period by 3 months then if you're pregnant, the levels will be high enough to be read in a serum test. Anything over 5 is pregnant.
