Blood pregnancy test and home pregnancy tests?
I am now two weeks late on my period. I had protected sex on March the 9th. I took the morning-after pill just to be 100% sure. I spotted 10 days later for about 4 days but it was certainly not my period. I should have got my period on April the 2nd but nothing. Could I be late due to the morning-after pill? I had sex 4 days after my period had ended, and before ovulating... so could it be that the ECP delayed ovulation or prevented it and thats why my period is now late? or can it be the spotting I had was the egg being released? I have taken 8 pregnancy tests and a blood test and they all came back negative... I have no pregnancy symptoms either. Has anyone experienced this after the pill? what do u think? thank u

- with all the protective measures you took and all of the tests, (store bought and doctor) I would say your not. If anything because you took the morning after pill sometimes (very rarely) can cause an ectopic pregnany which would not nessicerly show up on either tests. Give it a few more weeks and retest again if needed, discuss all options with your doctor, and hopefully this is just a scare.
- The morning after pill can make a woman's period become irregular for the next month after the use of it. This means that sometimes a woman may miss her period, or even randomly spot fort the first month after using it. This is completly normal. Clinical blood and urine tests can detect pregnancy as early as 6-8 days after date of conception. Home pregnancy tests are personal urine tests, which normally cannot detect a pregnancy until at least 12-15 days after conception. I would suggest getting another blood pregnancy test just to be sure. Good luck on what happens!
- I would rather take a blood pregnancy test but may be that's just me.The reason why i think this is because you can never trust a home pregnancy test. AND TRUST ME ON THAT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- i think you just need to relax so your cycle will start. sometimes your cycle just changes.
- don't think you have to much to worry about.most time taking those type of meds.can cause a hormonal imbalance, witch can cause problems such as late periods, spotting,or sometime even skipping.i would definitely take urine test at Dr's. office, they should be able to tell you if its an imbalance or pregnancy, p.s. be sure to see the right Dr.,if your under 18,see a pediatric Dr.,because age makes a big difference .
- maybe you had a missed miscarriage. maybe it is stress. if you had a blood test done and it was negative then you are proably not pregnant cause they are 100% accurate. a blood test will show you are pregnant seven (7) days after you conceive. It could be that morning after pill that you took. go to side effects of the morning after pill===in your search box. You can get pregnant at anytime, it is just easier when you are ovulating. It should be showing up if you are pregnant on a pregnnacy test since that was well over a month ago that you had sex. Some women do bleed a lil bit when they ovulate it is called "middle pain" but it is suppost to only last a couple of hours. go to www.womenshealth.com I really do think if you are having to take the morning after pill because you didn't want to be pregnant you should really go and get on birth control. good luck
