Can blood pregnancy tests tell you if you pregnant earlier than home pregnancy tests?

2. Possibly but not necessarily. If it's too early, then it's too early. The difference, by the way, is that the blood tests usually measure how much hormone there is, while the pee tests just measure whether it is there or not there.

5. Yes - a blood test can show pregnancy approximately 3 - 4 days before you would be able to detect it on a home pregnancy test.

9. Yes, hcg must be able to be detected in the blood earlier than in urine. I think my dr said the blood test can detect it about 4 or 5 days earlier than a HPT.
