How much sooner does a blood pregnancy test show you are pregnant compared to the home pregnancy tests???
I mean a positive or negative.

- Technically a blood test could determine immediately upon conception. By theory that is. By practice you'll probably know about a week earlier by blood than you could by a HPT.
- it take like 20 minutes but a urine test is more acurate
- I would say give or take a week earlier. The most sensitive HPT's measure something like 25. I am sure blood tests can detect HGG at 5, 10, something like that!
- I tried the 'home pregnancy tests' and found they were 'inaccurate' as often as they were 'accurate' ... while a 'blood test' for pregnancy is at leas 95% accurate. It's not 'how soon' (the time between 'doing' the test and the answer you get) but the ACCURACY that counts ... most doctors will do a 'blood test' only after you have 'missed your period' for two weeks, but some will do it sooner ... it depends on 'the test' they are doing, since some doctors still hold with the 'old technology' while others use the newer tests that can tell you 'sooner' than two weeks after your first 'missed' period.
- Sometimes right away other times 3 to 4 weeks. I found out at 4 weeks but I was having twins so I don't know if it made my pregnancy hormones stronger. Good luck to you!
