How long does it take to get results from a blood pregnancy test?

I have taken 2 home pregnancy tests and both were negative, but it has been 60 days since I had my period so my doctor is having me come in for a blood test. I'm wondering how long it will take before she can give me the results? Will it be while I'm at the appt? Or does she call me later with the results?

1. She'll have to send it to a lab. How long it will take depends on the lab. Ask her. Good luck.
2. You will be called within 2 days of the test being done. I got mine the next morning. I had taken 2 HPT and they both came up pos. but at the dr. office theirs shown up neg. So my dr. sent me in for blood, which I had to do 2 times because the first was neg. I showed her my HPT and she sent me in again 3 days later and it was finally showing up positive! She called me that night before closing. I think it was the babies wanting to hide from her! :-)~ So I would say withing 8-48 hours later!
3. im going through the same problem but i only took 1 hpt and it came out neg and i should be around 2 or 3 months i asked my doctor how long will it take after i take a blood test and she said about 3 days or less
4. I've gotten blood pregnancy test results from 5 hours later to 24 hours later. They will call you or you can call them 24 hours later.
