Do urine pregnancy tests not work for some women? Does it need to be done with a blood test?

I really feel as though I am pregnant. I have all the symptoms of a pregnant woman, and I haven't had my period going on 7 weeks now. However, I have taken 3 different urine tests and they keep coming up negitive. One of my friends told me to go get a blood test done because for some women urine tests simply don't work. Is that true? I just don't see a blood test coming up positive after 3 negitive urine tests.

That is true it does happen but maybe its your body playing with youthat its tricking you in to being pregnant but your not sorry to say that but it happens quite often with women wanting a baby so bad even just thinking bout it just go get a blood test and go with what it says. goodluck!!
If you are 7 weeks late then you definitely need to see a doctor. If you aren't pregnant then there maybe other issues especially if you have had normal cycles up until now.
If you think your pregnant then ask for a quantitative blood test.. (this measures the levels of hcg in your blood) Make sure you ask for the complete results... then when you get them bring them home and go to this site to compare - http://www.americanpregnancy.org/duringpregnancy/hcglevels.html Good luck and blessings
i had the same thing happen i had no period for 7 weeks and i thought i was pregnant but the test was negative and i have been ttc for 5 months now.my cycle is 35-36 and my period on Jan.20-25 and then had my period on Feb.19-24 and that was 23 cycle,which is strange to me,i never skipped a period always had one every month.good luck and baby dust.
thats true go with ultrasound (early gestation) where u can find a better result
