Blood Drug Testing

What would cause sudden weight gain and fatigue?

I'm a 55 year old Caucasian female and I'm putting on 1 to 2 pounds a week when my diet hasn't changed significantly. I also feel extremely fatigued. I can't stay awake past 7 PM, I sleep 5 to 6 hours and wake not feeling as if I slept at all. My doctor ran blood tests (CBC, chemistry and thyroid profiles), but the results were within normal ranges.

  1. Have the docs run tests for Sarcoidosis, its a fatigue related illness there are many other symptums too but they tend to lie dormant initially. It's worth mentioning to the doc, hope it isn't that though Good luck I've had it for the past 8 years
  2. Your diet hasn't changed, hmmm, does your diet consist of: pork chops, chili cheese fries, big macs, diet coke, fried chicken, foot long subway sandwiches with extra dip, jimmy dean sausage with t-bone steak, and other fattening foods.
  3. Your thyroid can be 'within' normal ranges and still be functioning poorly enough to have these exact symptoms. I would go back to the doctor and demand he help you, if he refuses then see a different doctor. Just because you are not within the exact medical range doesn't mean you should put up with not being treatment for your illness.
  4. Have you considered the menopause
