why was an ischaemic forearm excericze refused by clinical chemistry?

Hi there i suffer rhabdomyolyosis. i had a muscle biopy which was normal. However i still get pains in my legs and body. So i wen to see my consulatant neurologist and he arranged for me to have an ischaemic forearm excercize test and cpp2 and mc ardles blood tests. i had not heard from the hospital for 5 week so i rung yesterday and they told me that clinical chemistry have refused to carry out the ischaemic forearm excercize test. Why could they refuse ?? they also refused the test for another patiend why ?? please help

  1. I have just answered this. It is not necessary for anyone with a positive diagnosis of McArdles disease. Only if a false positive diagnosis is suspected will it be done.
