Does a blood test automatically mean a drug test?

Ok so im having a blood test in a week. Its just a checkup i do every year. If a drug comes out can they tell my parents? Is a blood test automatically a drug test? Lets say my mom doesnt even mention anything of drugs but if a drug comes out, can thy tell my parents about it?

1. They don't always test you for drugs in a blood test. It depends on why they are doing the blood test. They could be testing for many things. If it's just a normal checkup with the doctor, I don't think they're testing for drugs.
2. well first off a blood test can be for diseases, so no, its not only for drugs but if they run a test for drugs too, they probably will tell your mom if a drug comes out
3. they probly wont check for drugs, but they may come across it it depends though im just gonna say you had some pot, if you used a plastic bottle and the tin foil. itll only be in your system for a month. so if you did it 3 wks ago, you should be fine by the day of your test DRINK LOTS OF CRANBERRY JUICE for some reason it gets it out of you faster.
4. They dont screen for drugs unless they are looking for them.
5. I really don't think when they do blood tests they are checking for drugs and if they did, im almost positive it's illegal for them to tell your parents if they found anything. Usually blood tests are to make sure you have enough protein in your blood.
6. If the doctor tells your parents anything you can sue him for disclosure of patient/doctor information.
