Blood Drug Testing

How accurate are blood tests, has any1 ever been wrong?

Hi again everyone, after the 2faint lines on my hpt i went to my doc and had blood tests done to c if i am pregant, it turns out the test is negative. i am 5days late. Do i take this as a final answer, my doc did suggest i wait till 9/06/2008 monday to test again?thanx and god bless u.

1. hey i got a false negative on a blood test when i was actually pregnant. the doc told me that it possible for it to show up on a hpt and not on a blood test because where the uterus sits is right next to the bladder which cells are able to transfer easier and quicker to the bladder than to the blood in the body. it is possible and its extremley easy for the pathology unit to get the results mixed up. good luck and im in the same boat as you atm, i really do think i am pregnant this month but am going to wait another 5 days just to be positive and not get my hopes up :) good luck to you
