Blood Drug Testing

have cirrhosis, been sober 3 years, blood tests show liver function excellent, want to know liver status?

globulin 2.8, albmin 4.7, protein 7.5 blood test results, one doctor says everything looks good another says it doesnt, I'm scared and confused

  2. Mabey the one that is saying it isnt is trying to make more money off of you. Im glad you are doing better,keep it up! Dont be scared.
  3. There is no way cirrhosis can be reverted; it can only be stopped from further progression. It is good that you have that you have been sober for three years. Your LFT (liver function tests) seem within reasonable limits. All the same, get yourself examined for Portal Hypertension which may develop insidiously and may lead to oesophageal varices which have a tendency of bleeding suddenly and can be real ominous. It can be checked out by an Ultrasonography, which I would advice once every year. The oesophageal varices can be picked up easily by USG and at times endoscopic sclerotherapy may be required to remove these varices. Good luck.
