Blood Drug Testing

If I just took a blood test checking my liver and kidneys, will the doctor find that I drink and smoke?

I started drinking at college starting last year and picked up cigarettes two months ago. (Don't worry, I'm not addicted yet and am planning on quitting)

  1. of course.....
  2. first of all, and i dont care what you say, you are addicted to cigarettes, but if you quit now it will be a lot easier. i said the same thing when i started, and that was 3 years ago. Unless the doctor specifically tests you for a blood alcohol level then they cant tell you drink. but if you are a heavy drinker then you liver tests will show elevated enzymes and they will assume that you drink. also if you are a heavy drinker your liver may be enlarged but the size of you liver will depend on how much you drank and how long before the test you drank. most likely you should have normal liver tests unless you have been drinking like a 12 pack a day.
