Blood Drug Testing

Thyroid Blood tests?

I notice everyone always has a TSH done but I just had labs done and my Dr only ordered a T3 Uptake (result 43.5%) ref range 25-35% T4 Total (result 8.7 mcg) ref range 4.5-12.0 and a FTI (result 3.8) ref range 1.3-3.4. She didn't order a TSH. She is telling me that the tests are inconclusive and referred me to an Endo. I've tried looking up all of this on the web but I can't really find anything on just those tests. Help!

2. TSH is not the best test, either is the T3U. Better thyroid testing is the free t4 and free t3. I'd get retested, making sure its done first thing in the morning only of TSH, Free T4, Free T3, and an antibody test.
